Me too...if everyone was less focused on looking good for their party, and more focused on doing what is in the best interest of the country (on both sides of the isle) we would have had a better bill. But the intellect of the average American voter now days doesn't allow for that anymore..cuz they can be manipulated and swayed so easily by the media. I gues what I'm trying to say is that the majority of folks now days can't think for themselves... They take malicious email, biased news reports, and garbage from the internet or the editoral page of their local newspaper as gospel. And, no, I don't think I am painting with a broad brush...after the way the country was ran first 8 years of this century, we had to have a bold leader who was heavy handed towards congress to even have a chance of beginning to fix the mess W. left.... and I think we have found it in Obama. As far as the political spin that the health care bill was against the will of the American people, they need to understand that Obama's health care stance was what landed him in the White House...so IMO, the public chose it then...the GOP just can't stand being pushed around like they pushed the Democrats around for years. It's like when someone finally stands up to the playground bully..it kinda freaks 'em out when someone finally decides to bust 'em in the mouth. Poetic justice IMO.
